Rice is the most nutritive and unquestionably the most widespread staple food in the world. Amongst the wide variety of rice grains available in the market traditional rice varieties are a boon as compared to other hybrid grains. Bliss Tree brings to you some of the most renowned traditional varieties of this humble superfood.

These traditionally grown rice cultivars are good sources of minerals and vitamins such as niacin, thiamine, iron, vitamin D, calcium, and possess higher fiber and lesser amount of sugar content, making it an ideal choice for everyday consumption.  


The Brown rice variants are a whole-grain rice that contains the bran layer which has a significant amount of nutrients. The Red, Black variants were predominantly cultivated for consumption as Porridge in liquid form, as fermented rice water. The Bridegroom Samba Rice contains iron and zinc which helps in the production of hemoglobin and myoglobin. 


All of these rice varieties can be used for making Porridge, to grind as rice batter along with Urad or other dals, for making into Idly, Dosa, Paniyaram, Idiyappam, Payasam, or Porridge.
